The homepage hero, the eye blinks, the headline cycles.
01 / The Client
Discretion, patience, and noticing what other people miss.
Clarity Investigations is a private investigation practice built entirely on discretion, patience and noticing what other people miss. That is a difficult thing to put on a website.
Most firms in the sector don't try. They fall back on magnifying glasses, trench coats and CCTV grain, and end up looking like each other. She wanted the opposite of that, and she arrived with a clear picture in her head of what the site should feel like, and a specific idea of what it should mean.
02 / The Engagement
Project delivered and sign-off completed in August, 2026.
03 / The Challenge
She had been here before, and it hadn't gone well.
She had already commissioned design work once, spent real money on it, and come away with a site that didn't reflect her, and a lasting scepticism about web designers generally.
So the brief was never "build me a website." It was closer to: prove this can be done properly.
That changed how we ran the project. Rather than presenting a finished site and hoping it landed, we designed the whole thing in Figma first and walked her through it page by page, so nothing got built until she had seen it and agreed it was hers. She approved the design before a single element went into Elementor.
04 / The Idea
That eye is hers.
She photographed it and sent it to us, and we built the site outwards from it. Nothing here is decorative by accident.
- 01. Clarity The business is named for clear sight. The site opens on the organ of sight, open, steady, unmistakably human.
- 02. The investigator's gaze Watchful rather than aggressive. Someone paying attention on your behalf.
- 03. Her, personally Not a model, stock library, or AI generation. In this sector the founder is a large part of what a client is actually buying, and the site says so before it says anything else.
- 04. The blink A still eye is a symbol. A blinking eye is a person. That's the difference between a logo and a presence.
Designed in Figma, built bespoke
No template. No theme demo rearranged.
Every page was drawn in Figma to fit this business, then constructed to match. The build itself is WordPress assembled in Elementor, which gives her something a design-only route wouldn't have: she can update her own content, add case types and edit copy without coming back to us and paying for it.
Desktop walkthrough, homepage, services, about, contact.
05 / Across the site
06 / On the phone
Enquiries here arrive in a hurry, and often in a difficult moment.
A large share of contact in this sector comes from someone on their phone, part-way through a bad week. The hero, the eye and the cycling headline all carry across at full quality, and the enquiry route is never more than a tap away.
07 / The Dashboard
A place to run the business side from.
Alongside the public site we built her a dashboard. A private portal to manage enquiries, case tracking and secure client communication.
Dashboard shown populated with dummy data only to ensure complete client privacy.
08 / What's Next
Enquiry, case, invoice and payment in one place.
The next phase connects payment gateways directly into the platform, so that case handling, invoicing and payment stop living across three separate systems. She raises the bill and takes the payment from the same screen she manages the case in.
The Result
A client who has a site she pictures.
What there is instead is a client who had been let down by designers once, who arrived expecting to be let down again, and who now has a website that looks like the thing she'd been picturing all along. Her own eye, watching from the top of the page. Her business, described in her own terms. That was the entire brief.
